My computer has installed
an IP-guard Agent. Will it affect the operation
of other functions?
IP-guard Agent is running in the background of
the operating system. The system uses a proprietary
format which helps to minimize the resources usage
by IP-guard Agent. As a result, the impact of
the operation of IP-guard Agent on the other system
operations is minimal.
Is it possible
to remove IP-guard Agent after installing it?
Since IP-guard Agent is embedded into the core
of the operating system. As a result, IP-guard
Agent cannot be removed.
As we cannot
remove IP-guard Agent after installation, how
can we manage it?
User can use IP-guard Console to real time monitor
and check the status of operation of the computer
which is installed with an IP-guard Agent, and
to control or uninstall IP-guard Agent as and
when necessary.
Is the file
size of screen snapshots of IP-guard very large?
IP-guard applies high efficient data compression
technology. The system will capture the screen
snapshots only when there is a change on the screen.
The storage space needed for 1 hour is around
4 MB.
What should
I do if IP-guard Agents' name is missing on the
Agent List after the installation of IP-guard
You should first check whether the agent computer
has any network problems.
Next, see whether IP-guard Server and IP-guard
Agent are in the same network.
Lastly, check whether the number of IP-guard Agents
added exceeds the maximum of IP-guard Agents designated
for a particular IP-guard Server.
I want to
remote monitor IP-guard Agent. What should I do?
Install IP-guard Remote Switch in the computer
which is connected to the LAN where IP-guard Server
and Agents located.
Allow Remote Switch to access Internet in order
to receive the request from Remote Console.
In the Remote Console, enter the IP address of
Remote Switch and remote monitoring is enabled.
